Luxor Day Tour From Aswan
After enjoying a hearty breakfast at your hotel in Aswan, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will escort you in a private, air-conditioned vehicle on a scenic drive to the ancient city of Luxor. Upon arrival, your expert guide will be waiting to lead you on an unforgettable journey through the wonders of Egypt’s illustrious past.
Begin your exploration on the West Bank of the Nile at the legendary Valley of the Kings, the vast necropolis that served as the final resting place for many of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs.
Wander among the impressive tombs carved deep into the cliffs, each adorned with intricate hieroglyphics and vibrant paintings that recount stories of the afterlife and divine kingship. Discover the tombs of iconic rulers such as Thutmose I, Thutmose III, Tutankhamun, Ramesses VI, Merneptah, and Amenhotep II, each reflecting unique artistic and architectural mastery.
Next, visit the breathtaking Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. This extraordinary mortuary temple, built into the cliffs, honors the only female pharaoh to rule ancient Egypt in her own right. Marvel at its elegant terraces, colonnades, and detailed reliefs celebrating Queen Hatshepsut’s remarkable reign during the 18th Dynasty—a powerful symbol of female leadership and architectural innovation.
A short distance away, behold the towering Colossi of Memnon, two colossal statues guarding the remains of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. These monumental figures stand as silent sentinels, evoking the grandeur and mystery of Egypt’s past.
After this morning of discovery, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, where you can savor authentic regional flavors and recharge for the afternoon’s adventures.
In the afternoon, cross to the East Bank of Luxor, where you will explore the sprawling Karnak Temple Complex—one of the most extraordinary religious sites in the world. Dedicated primarily to the Theban triad of gods Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, Karnak’s vast halls, towering obelisks, and massive columns tell tales of devotion and power spanning centuries. Lose yourself in the grandeur of the Hypostyle Hall and admire the craftsmanship of countless pharaohs who contributed to this evolving masterpiece.
Conclude your day at the magnificent Luxor Temple, a stunning architectural gem originally constructed by Amenhotep III during the 18th Dynasty and later expanded by Ramesses II. As dusk falls, feel the timeless spirit of the ancient city come alive within its grand columns and open courtyards.
At the end of this magical day, your private car will be ready to transfer you to your hotel in Luxor, where you can relax and reflect on a journey steeped in history and wonder.

- Lightweight Clothing: Egypt's climate is predominantly hot and dry, so pack light, breathable fabrics like cotton and linen to stay comfortable. Don't forget a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect yourself from the intense sun.
- Modest Attire: Although Egypt is a relatively liberal country, it's respectful to dress modestly, especially when visiting religious sites. Women may consider bringing scarves or shawls to cover their shoulders and heads if needed.
- Comfortable Footwear: Bring comfortable walking shoes as you'll likely be exploring ancient ruins and bustling markets. Sandals or closed-toe shoes that are easy to remove for mosque visits are a good choice.
- Travel Adapter: Egypt uses the Europlug Type C electrical outlet, so be sure to bring the appropriate travel adapter to charge your electronic devices.
- Personal Medications: If you have any prescription medications, ensure you have an adequate supply for the duration of your trip. It's also wise to carry some basic first-aid items like pain relievers and stomach remedies.
- Reusable Water Bottle: Stay hydrated by bringing a reusable water bottle. In many tourist areas, you can find water refilling stations to reduce plastic waste.
- Insect Repellent: Depending on the season and location, mosquitoes can be a nuisance. Pack insect repellent to protect yourself from bites.
- Camera and Binoculars: Egypt's history and landscapes offer fantastic photo opportunities. Don't forget your camera to capture the incredible moments, and if you're interested in birdwatching or wildlife spotting, binoculars can be handy.
